TAP is a non-governmental organization that aims to provide voluntary search and rescue services, medical support and humanitarian aid in the event of disasters; regardless of the age, gender, ethnicity, religous affiliation, or social background of the affected groups. It aims to raise social awareness about disaster preparedness, as well as to increase inter-operability among different national and international disaster agencies.

TAP holds regular training sessions at its place in Şişli that are designed for different audiences such as firms, professional groups, search and rescue teams, and residents of Istanbul.
